Standard Geotextiles
TERRAPRO™ TERRAM Standard Geotextiles are extensively used in stabilisation and drainage applications to provide separation and filtration functions, preventing the intermixing of granular layers and the ingress of fines. Their use ensures an improved performance and design life of granular layers.

- Mechanical entanglement of the fibres using needle punch and thermal bonding technology with very high static and dynamic puncture resistance
- Random orientated web with isotropic properties provide the same high strength, high permeability and excellent filtration in all directions
- Range of pore sizes that can filter different soils from course silt to large gravel whilst allowing the passage of water
- High elongation (strain) at break point (ultimate tensile strength)
- Highly durable in all typical soil conditions with an expected service life in excess of 100 years
- Highly resistant to damage from construction compacting equipment, does not fray or rupture unlike woven geotextiles
- Separation, filtration and protection function maintained at the subgrade/subbase interface even when subjected to radial loads from vehicle wheels
- Extends pavement life by preventing mixing of imported granular fill and allows greater compaction of subbase materials
- Maintains separation and filtration function under high load even in soft and variable strength ground unlike woven geotextiles
